English-Guided History Tour of Post-War Waldenbuch Finding a new Heimat
The focus of this walking tour are the challenges presented to our sleepy little village
past 1945 when it came time to deal with thousands of displaced German families
from the early settlements in the old Reich which then were relocated to Waldenbuch.
They had a strong impact on their new hometown, e.g. housing, population growth,
economic strength, diversity in religion, urban planning. Nothing remained the same
for the old residents.
